I have a new officer in my office. She's odd. Really odd. It's her second week at work and she's working 'til almost 8pm every day, and she's staying later than the quiet guy next to me. I really do not understand it. In fact, she hasn't really started on any real work, what she is doing now is just basic internet searches. You mean to tell me this takes up so much of your time?! Good grief. When real work starts, she can camp overnight.
Oh yeah, she actually went back to work last Sunday from 5pm to 10pm. Mad, isn't it? If she thinks that by working in such a way, she would gain a promotion, I am sorry. It doesn't work this way here. Besides working long hours, she's rude. While we were lamenting that staying till 7.30pm is late for us cos we live quite far away, she said, no, "Woodlands isn't that far", "7.30pm is not late" and "only working till 10pm is considered late"! What nonsense is that?! She also comes out with some questions that baffle me and Mr B, and for the first time yesterday, Mr B and I thought alike for 5 seconds! Imagine that. My nemesis and I on the same flow.
On another note, we realised that a few oddballs and well, evil people were hired by the same Deputy Director, aka, the not-so-smart one. Not sure about the officer in my office yet but the ones that are creating problems now are hired by him. Another case of comfirming his inability to hire quality officers. Full stop.
